On the 21st day of April, in the year 1998 all became clear.
Well my brothers, we have come a long way. As single cell organisms, we mastered the one thing that seperates life from ordinary matter, reproduction. The mysterious forces driving us onwards used more complex lifeforms. We ruled the oceans in a million different shapes, we conquered the land and the air. Driven by evolution and natural selection we were carried as bacteria, fish, amphibians, mammals, apes and now, as man. We have moved from living in small tribal groups into great civilizations, we have managed to escape many of the terrors that the natural world imposed upon us. We have won the great race for supremacy. We are the proud owners of the most formidable genetic sequence ever to grace this planet. Our brains have gotten bigger, so too our imaginations. We have perfected the art of communication, we are able to shape a world like no species before. We are now masters of the forces that brought us here, We can read and alter DNA sequences, We are able to play with atoms, protons and quarks, the fundamental building blocks that make up our universe. We have become the first species to attempt to tame ourselves.
Where our journey will take us no-one can say. Maybe we will experience a mass extinction event, like the dinosaurs. A huge reset button for nature. It is possible that we shall conquer the universe. Although we need to make a few evolutionary leaps, and avoid where possible, the destruction of our environment. We need to appreciate and sieze this unique opportunity and unlock the secrets that nature has kept hidden from us. It is time to discard all those outdated beliefs and fairy tales we call religion. Religion has had it's time and it needs to accept it is no longer relevant or necessary and step aside so we can all unite and explore the nature of existence together, as one species, devoted to discovering and sharing the enormous power of this incomprehensibly complex universe. There are more stars in the night sky, than grains of sand on this planet we call Earth. Can we be so arrogant as to assume we are in some way the reason for all this? We are just the latest model of vehicle for our particular gene set. There is game going on at a far deeper level than most realise.
If you truly exist in the moment, for the moment, you will enjoy a spectacular clarity of vision. The world around you slows down, The meaning behind the signals everyone gives out, verbally or otherwise is instantly understood. The fog and haze of modern life dissolves away, revealing the true picture. With a great deal of hard work, it is possible to tune your senses, to filter out all of the bullshit, with which we are constantly bombarded. It feels as though you are like water, just flowing through life, the path of least resistance draws you to whatever it is you may desire. Unlike our friends, the unfortunate majority, who spend their lives in a permanent state of bewilderment. Following whichever herd promises the most. Pampered and softened by this strange existence of ours, so at odds wth the world in which we evolved. Hypnotised by the media, allowing their instincts to be manipulated, their fears to be first anchored, and then triggered. Hiding behind a fragile ego, that solitary guardian of our sanity. Your average Joe is nothing more than a frightened animal, finding itself born to a world it can never hope to truly understand. The educators mould and shape the young mind according to the wants of the current ruling classes, Thousands of years of experience in brain washing and persuasion come to bear on the blank canvas of the human soul. Bending, twisting and finally breaking the beautiful child of nature, and leaving behind, in it's place a hideous parody of the marketing mans wet dream. The blind, foolish consumerbot. How many of you are paying someone else to fix yourself?
Some of us slipped through the net.

William Shakespeare
All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.
William Shakespeare (and me)
...but we in it shall be remember'd; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that opens sets with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That sarged with us upon Saint Crispin's day
